Irvine, California (September 14, 2010) — flydubai has appointed AMP International, LLC, a division of Post Modern Group, to provide content programming, management and related technical services to support its in-flight entertainment system. Services to be provided include feature films, TV content and audio. The account will be managed by Maya Sheikh from the AMP/PME regional office in Beirut, Lebanon.

flydubai is the launch customer for the new Lumexis fiber optic in-flight entertainment system which offers passengers a choice of paid and free content on 8.9” high definition, touch screen LCD monitors. Fully owned by the Government of Dubai, flydubai is Dubai’s new low cost carrier serving destinations in the Middle East, North-East Africa and Asia. The airline commenced operations in June, 2009, and has a fleet of 9 new 737-800’s with a further 44 on order. In October flydubai will take delivery of Boeing’s first ‘Sky Interior’ airplane, which will be equipped with Lumexis’ cutting-edge ‘Fiber-to-the-Screen’ (FTTSTM) system.
