Post Modern Edit (PME) was founded in 1993 in Santa Ana by a group of independent producers and editors, primarily to serve the local post-production market. Two key events in the company's history are credited with the company's rapid growth.
In 1997 the company found a niche in the Hollywood market, providing post-production and video duplication services for the non-theatrical divisions of the major studios and the airline entertainment market.
In 2001 a new owner came on to the scene. Roy Cox is a veteran of the Hollywood non-theatrical market, having held senior positions with Warner Bros., Paramount and New World Pictures prior to co-founding Entertainment In Motion, an independent distributor of motion pictures to the non-theatrical market. Cox and PME President and co-owner Rick Warren moved the operation to its current location on Alton Parkway in Irvine—an ideal location in the heart of Orange County and just minutes from both John Wayne Airport and the Irvine Spectrum business district.
Since then, Post Modern has become the leading video post production facility south of Los Angeles and is the largest video post production facility in Orange County, attracting top-notch creative talent as well as an illustrious client base.
